Happy 2019 to you! I hope you had a safe and joyous holi-day
season and are well-rested and ready to take this year
head-on. Is there anything that you are trying to improve
this year? Are there wins from last year that you’re hoping
to continue throughout the new year? Whether it’s in your work
life or your home life, something new or sustaining an initiative
that has already proven successful, resolutions and goals tend to
have a theme: Wellness.
Throughout the pages of this issue you’ll find articles packed
with great information on organizational wellness that I hope you
will find useful and be able to apply to achieving your goals for
2019. For starters, writer Melissa Campeau caught up with lead-ership
and wellness coach, Gail Voisin, to discuss how to think
beyond programs for a healthier and more productive workplace.
Find that story on page 28.
Multi-generational workplaces will continue to be the norm this
year as more Gen Zers enter the workforce. On page 21, read how
your organization can welcome Gen Z to the team. Also, be sure
to read “Debunking the Myth” on page 59 to find out why you
want millennials on your team.
We also caught up with former Calvin Klein CEO, Tom Murry,
to discuss finding the “right fit” in your career. That feature begins
on page 34. Murry was also kind enough to contribute an article.
On page 43, he explores how the skills needed to create a great
product can transfer to HR initiatives.
